Kiowa Park I...Waurika Lake, Oklahoma

We finally made it to Kiowa Park I. The GPS kept directing us to Park II, but using the Corps of Engineer Campground book, we were able to find our way to the correct park! Once we were set up, we took a walk around our section of the campground. The following day were would take the car and get the grandkids in Marlow, Oklahoma.
Bob and I were up early and had Sol ready for the kids. We made room in the dresser and in a closet for their clothes. Suitcases would be stored in the basement compartments. Since we weren't scheduled to get them until after 2, we used the GPS and drove the backroads to get to their grandparents place. We definitely took the scenic route.

Once we collected the kids and their STUFF, it was off to Wal-Mart to get food they might want snack on until we got to Tinker AFB and the commissary.

Back at Sol, they took time to put their stuff away and then we all walked around the campground getting reacquainted.

The following morning we left Kiowa and headed to Oklahoma City. We had some shopping to do and some activities planned. The first item on our agenda at Tinker was to visit the commissary to stock our fridge and pantry to accommodate hungry, growing teenagers.
Bob made reservations for an escape room in Norman, but it didn't open until 4, so we went to the outlet mall and did some shopping.

After lunch at Chipotle, which did not impress me enough to want to return, it was off to find the escape room.  The puzzle we had to solve was 'Fatal Attraction,' and we did very well on this beginner room---we solved it with 38 minutes to spare!
The next day we went bowling. I have to say, they have both improved since the last time we went bowling!

Our next adventure was as the science museum in Oklahoma City. It was an interesting place with lots of hands on activities for all ages.

This outdoor activity was one of our favorites!
Of course, we had to sit on the big furniture.
After our stay at Tinker AFB, it was on to Siloam Springs to see the great grandparents!
